Moving to Las Vegas in 2017 after 17 years in San Francisco, Amanda King has quickly become one of Las Vegas’ foremost jazz stylists. A vivacious and captivating performer bringing to mind the great ladies of song, Amanda is a straight-ahead singer who performs standards, jazz and more. She relishes diving into history to share the stories, songs and people that make up the treasure trove of pre-1950’s American popular music. New York Times critic Stephen Holden described her as one of the nightclub world’s “exceptional rising talents,” after her appearance in the Mabel Mercer Cabaret Convention at Lincoln Center’s Rose Hall. Noted jazz journalist/historian Scott Yanow writes that Amanda is “an important up-and-coming singer – she has a strong voice, a wide range, and the ability to dig deep into the lyrics while always swinging. Plus she always sings with a smile in her voice.”
Her highly successful show, “A Salute to Ella: The Early Years,” features the history of young Ella Fitzgerald from youth through her brilliant time with the Chick Webb Orchestra. Amanda also opened the 2017-18 Bay Area Cabaret season in a tribute to Ella’s centennial birthday with Lillias White, Janis Siegel, Freda Payne and other noted jazz performers in the world-famous Venetian Room at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. In 2018 she released “It’s Christmas! with Amanda King,” a holiday EP that was co-produced by Joey Melotti, Barry Manilow’s Musical Director. Find it on all major music distributors.
Patrick Hogan (Musical Director). At just 24 years of age, Patrick Hogan is truly a triple-crown musician: singer, songwriter, and pianist extraordinaire.
Hailing from the small town of San Juan Bautista, California, Patrick Hogan grew up in a music-loving family with the sounds of jazz in his ears.
Currently in the jazz Masters program at UNLV, Patrick’s song stylings for both classic and newly-composed pieces are reminiscent of Michael Feinstein, Harry Connick, and one of the true greats of jazz history, Chet Baker. He is principal pianist at Las Vegas hotspot, The Mayfair Supper Club in the Bellagio Hotel and Casino.
